With three papers due on Monday and Tuesday (not to mention a five-hour a cappella rehearsal today), my weekend consisted not of participating in Young Alumni Weekend festivities or attending the Homecoming game, but reading copious amounts of Hamlet and journals on education reforms in the Post-Mao era in China. But my friend Ashley and I still decided to take advantage of the uncharacteristically good weather by studying outside.

I had an early morning interview, so I resorted to my foolproof outfit combination: a cami, jeans, and semi-statement shoes. I absolutely love these Jeffery Campbell Cors booties I got last March because they go with absolutely everything since they're nude, but don't completely blend into the rest of the outfit because of the lace-up detail. I'm looking for another pair to serve the same function, and I've been drooling over this Zara pair which are a bit high for everyday wear but utterly gorgeous.

I accessorized with my Dior pendant and Bally bag, both of which were presents from my lovely mom I don't know how I'd live without. A chain-strap bag is a really easy way to instantly dress up an outfit.

Please excuse the shabby pedicure, but I took advantage of the $30 mani/pedi deal at Nail Envy in DTLA over spring break (a month ago), and other than slight tip wear, my toes still look perfect from afar! I'm going to talk in more detail about the salon in my upcoming LA post, but I definitely recommend you check it out if you're in the area.

Ashley and I are both from California, but I think the long East Coast winter made our skin hypersensitive to the sun, and we both ended up resembling nicely roasted ham by the end of the two hours we were outside. Nevertheless, it was a nice diversion from studying in the library, and I hope you had a great weekend!
