windward juice review

I recently visited Windward Juice, a cold-pressed juice shop, when I spent the day in Venice (the neighborhood in Los Angeles, not the city in Italy). They sell nine Clover juices: The Clover, Le Lait, Coco Snow, Pink Chia, Ménage a Trois, The Quench, Gingersnap, Gold n' Greens, and Go Big. Clover juices are organic, locally sourced, and supposedly contain three pounds of produce in each bottle. I got the The Quench ($9), which contains watermelon, watermelon rind, lime, and mint because I was parched from walking around all day, and I love watermelon juice. It was definitely refreshing, but I wished they'd left out the watermelon rind, which, combined with the lime, toned down the sweetness of the watermelon, resulting in a juice that's not quite tart but also definitely not the typical sweet watermelon juice you'd expect.

Since there are other Clover Juice locations around LA, you technically don't have to come all the way to Venice for Windward Juice, but how can you resist the décor? Plus, though it's in an alley, it's only about a 3-5 minute walk from the famous Venice sign and is fairly easy to find.
